PATENTS AND COPYRIGHTS
Each ABOVE VIEW ceiling tile is an exquisitely executed, copyrighted design. All tiles are manufactured using a patented composition and a proprietary manufacturing process that consistently provides a unique, high-quality product. A great deal of attention is given to the manufacturing of our tiles in order to maintain definition of details and integrity of surfaces.

FIRE CODES
ABOVE VIEW tiles are composed of gypsum cement, glass fibers, and other non-combustible aggregates. These tiles will not sustain combustion or release toxic fumes. The results of the ASTM E. 84 tunnel combustibility test performed on this product are as follows: Class A fire rating, with zero smoke spread, zero flame spread, and zero fuel contribution.

TILE SPECIFICATIONS
ABOVE VIEW tiles are C. 2' x 2', a nominal half-inch thick, and consistently weigh only 2 to 2.25 pounds per square foot. The tiles satisfy ASTM Spec. C-635 for L/360, based on hanger wire @ 4' O.C. The relief on the tiles varies from 1/4" to 3", according to the design.

Due to the use of bulk enhancers, this patented composition offers these additional features:

  • No extra stress on the structure from excess weight;
  • Stability in construction (no thin, weak spots);
  • Remains true in size and plane (no warpage);
  • Less brittleness;
  • No rattling in the grid;
  • No need for hold-down clips;
  • Cuts as easily as dry wall for down lights, sprinklers, and vents.
CUSTOM DESIGNS AND FINISHES
Custom designs are available upon request. The standard factory finish included in the price of the tile is a ceiling white satin latex. In addition, approximately 1,300 custom colors are available, as well as faux finishes.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
The tiles will drop into any standard commercial 15/16" T-Bar suspension grid, consisting of pre-punched roll-formed steel with exposed flange surface. Main runners and cross runners shall be installed to form 2' x 2' square openings. The grid shall be hung flat and level, suspended by 12 gauge pre-straightened steel wire @ 4' O.C.

Material shall be installed in accordance with the following recommendations: White gloves shall be worn by installers while handling ABOVE VIEW ceiling tiles. All boxes of tiles shall be kept in a vertical position on the job site with the red arrow pointing up in order to prevent breakage.

QUALITY CONTROL
All ABOVE VIEW tiles must conform to our high standard of excellence. To maintain this standard, there are four separate quality control check points during the manufacturing process, with a final check point prior to packaging.

PACKAGING
Due to well-designed packaging techniques, ABOVE VIEW tiles incur less than 1/4% shipping damage per year. All tiles are carefully packed in cardboard boxes with reinforced corners (five to eight tiles per box, depending on the design), and are separated by sheets of polyethylene foam. The tiles are transported in a vertical position with a maximum of 12 boxes per skid. Each skid has side rails and is both strapped and stretch wrapped for maximum protection.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
ABOVE VIEW provides superior technical support and maintains excellent communications between our sales representatives, customers, and the factory. We have the ability to respond quickly to all size orders and shipping dates are guaranteed. A copy of the bill of lading will be faxed to the customer upon request.
